The Castle Hill BMX club is a non profit sporting group affilliated with BMX NSW and BMX Australia.
The BMX season runs pretty much all year round.
Club racing is conducted on saturday afternoons. Sign on 3.30pm-4.00pm racing at 4.20pm. See the Calendar.
Racing at Castle Hill is ability based. That means riders will be put in a class of riders with similar ability. Although age and other criteria is considered the predominent metric used to determine the classes is lap time.
All club race meetings cost $7.00.
To race, a rider must wear a full face helmet (the club can loan a helmet if need), long pants, a long sleeve shirt, gloves and socks which cover the anklebone. Riders must also have a pad set on their bikes. A pad set is: one on the crossbar (if applicable) another on the stem, and lastly one on the top bar. Riders will not be allowed to race should they not have these minimum requirements.
A number plate for your bike is also required. You can use any number on this from 10 to 99. The club has plates to loan and to purchase.
Working bees are conducted throughout the year. It is appreciated if riders and parents could give up what time they can to keep the track and facilities in good condition. As the saying goes many hands make light work.
Gate practice is currently held on a Wednesday night from 6.30pm to 8pm.
Rulebooks are available through the club at a cost of $2.00 each.
How To Join
To join the Castle Hill BMX Club is a fee of $50 for 1 year. (annual from date of joining)
You will also need to join BMX Australia. There are three types of licences if you are 8 and over.
1.(new) $20 3 Rides Permitm (club events only). This allows you to came and try for 3 club events and is vaild for 3 month after your 3 rides and you would like to join for the year you get a $30 discount. *This does not include gate nights you have to have a club or open/spk licence for ngate night*.
2. Day licence $15.00. This is a permit that just entitles you to race on the day only at club level.
3. Club licence $62.00. This is a permit that just entitles you race at our club only.
4. Open licence $82.00. An Open permit entitles you to race at any meeting in Australia.
5. Sprocket Rocket (under 8) $80.00. A sprocket licence entitles you to race at any meeting in Australia. This also includes a sprocket kit and free coaching at Regional meetings.
To apply for a licence from BMX Australia a copy of your birth certificate, Passport or drivers licence is needed. A committee member must also sight the original so try and bring one of these with you.
